Flow switch is a device used to monitor the flow rate of liquids, gases or other fluids through a pipe, or piping system. In short, the flow switch is responsible for detecting flow in the pipe.
Principle of operation
The flow switch operates based on the principle that the dynamic pressure generated by the water flow in the pipe acts on the pressure sensor plate through the speed of the water flow in the pipe. In each pipe, when liquid flows through, there will be a certain pressure. In addition, the fluid flow rate will be fast or slow depending on the pressure in the pipe and the size of the pipe. It will work based on the above principle. When the liquid flows in the pipe with enough force to act on the switch, it will return an ON (YES) signal. Otherwise, if there is no liquid flowing through the pipe, the device will report the OFF (NO) status.
